Magha Puja Day is one of the most important Buddhist celebrations which falls on the full moon day of the third lunar month (about last week of February or early of March). This day marks the great four events that took place during Lord Buddha’s lifetime, namely:
1. 1,250 Buddhist monks from different places came to pay homage to Lord Buddha at Valuwan Vihara in Rajgaha, the capital of Magadh state, each of his own initiative and without prior notification or appointment.
2. All of them were he enlightened monks (or Arahantas).
3. All of them had been individually ordained by Lord Buddha himself (Ehi Bhikkhu).
4. They assembled on the full moon day of the third lunar month.
On the evening of that day, Lord Buddha gave the assembly a discourse “Ovadha Patimokha” laying down the principles of His teachings summarized into three acts, i.e. to abstain from bad action, to do good and to purify the mind.
Wat Thai Washington, D.C. welcome everyone to join the ceremony as a part of the annual celebration for the cultivation of meritorious deeds.
Activities included Morning chanting by the monks and congregation, breakfast served to the monks, religious ceremony, chanting by the monks, offering food to the monks on their alms round, lunch served to the monks and congregation and religious ceremony, candlelight procession sermon in Thai by the abbot.

Severe Flooding in Southern Thailand - Candle Light Purpose Fundraising II
Disaster has no prejudice, it happened here in USA, far East Asia, and around the world, no matter what nationality, religion or race, millions of lives will be impacted by the disaster and its destruction, destroy their progress to grow. It's time like this humanity will show it best quality, kindness and generosity. Unity not division.
We're honor to be apart of the community that's coming together to create a charity event, food were donated by the local Thai restaurants around DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), performance and entertainers and many volunteers gave their time, talents and financial to fundraising for children and their schools in the Southern Thailand provinces, this's a very poor province. Twelve provinces have been impacted by the severe flooding, leaving businesses paralyzed, schools closed, and affecting more than 1.7 millions people and many death.
The schools have been closed and school materials have been destroyed. We understand the importance of education and feel compassion for the children who cannot attend their schools. We may not be able to help out with every school but we strongly feel we can start with this first step of gathering like minded to assist financially and spreading the messages.

We're honor to be apart of the community that's coming together to create a charity event, food were donated by the local Thai restaurants around DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), performance and entertainers and many volunteers gave their time, talents and financial to fundraising for children and their schools in the Southern Thailand provinces, this's a very poor province. Twelve provinces have been impacted by the severe flooding, leaving businesses paralyzed, schools closed, and affecting more than 1 millions people.
The schools have been closed and school materials have been destroyed. We understand the importance of education and feel compassion for the children who cannot attend their schools. We may not be able to help out with every school but we strongly feel we can start with this first step of gathering like minded to assist financially and spreading the messages.

African Fashion Week Spring 2016
Friday, May 20, 2016, the 3rd Annual African Arts and Fashion Week DC hosted by Uche Ibezue, Omak Designs, event featured a panel discussion on "Where Fashion meets Power" right in the heart of Nation Capital. The Panel discussion raised the awareness on African Culture and heritage in fashion industry and the consumer power to change the direction of fashion industry. The panel discussion hosted by Ms. Emma Wareus, Ms. World 2010 first Runner-Up. The finary of event ended with Arican Design's Fashion show which showcase designers from Tanzania, Wambui McKesson, Wavumbini Fashion and Victor Colvin, Victor Hou Collection.

DC Swim Week 2016
DC Swim Week Founder and Creative Director, Moh Ducis hosted four amazing nights of Fashion and Fun from July 20-23, 2016, feathering more than 15 leading edge designers and more than 30 female and male models participated on the show at venues including Café Milano, L2 Lounge, Penthouse Pool and Lounge and the Embassy Row Hotel.

White House Champions of Change | Affordable Care Act Event, March, 2016.
Chintana and the EI's Media Team met with the Honorable Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President. Also met with Denis McDonough White House Chief of Staff. This event was to honor and gave recognition to several outstanding Champions of Change recipients and to showcase success of Obama Affordable Care Act.
As of March 2016, more than 20 Million new US taxpayers "including those with pre-existing conditions", are now covered by a healthcare plan of their choice and one they can actually afford. For many, this is the first healthcare plan they have ever been covered under. There is much to be said about (dignity and security).

Nuclear Security Summit 2016
Wednesday, March 30, 2016, Chintana Vann meet with Prime minister of Thailand, Prayut Chan-o-cha, Minister of Science and Technology, Pichet Durangkaveroj, Minister of Education, Piroon Phienlumlert, Ambassador of Thailand, Pisan Manawapat and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Don Pramudwinai during their trip to US, along with leaders from 50 Countries.
The event focused on Security at the 2016 Nuclear Industry Summit in Washington D.C. We're honor to gather group of Elite Thai Students for private meet & greet with Minister of Science, Technology and Prime minister of Thailand.
